About Us

Officially incorporated on February 23, 2005, a 100 lot community development on the south shore of Buffalo Lake Alberta, in the County of Stettler No 6.

On the lake shore with its own beautiful Kettle Pond right within the community.

Lake Life & Play

Buffalo Sands is a mix of residences, trailered lots, and some vacant lots, there is lakefront, pond front, and near lake access lots and realty within the community.

Some lots are designated as cabin/ home site lots only, some are designated as trailer only with the option to build a home/cabin.

THE SURROUNDING AREA

Stettler has a great many amenities and attractions as well including train rides, golf courses, shopping, groceries, restaurants.

In addition to Steller, there is a wealth of local and nearby attractions and activities, including Rochan Sands, a provincial park and Ol Macdonald’s camps nearby.

There are County and community requirement for building and site use including trailers. One trailer per lot currently is set out in the bylaws and it must be 15 years old or newer. Minimum building requirement in square feet is 800.

LOCATE US

FROM THE NORTH

A nice easy drive down from Edmonton, mostly HWY and well-paved roads all the way, takes about 2 hours to get there from Edmonton, an easy commute for a quick getaway!

FROM THE SOUTH

From Calgary down south, it will take about 2 and 1/2 hour of mostly HWY driving to get there. A major portion of the drive is done on HWY 2 and easy to navigate. You’ll be at your getaway in no time!

FROM THE EAST

And we welcome people from anywhere, of course, Drumheller is only about 2 hours of commute to get to Buffalo Sands as well. This is one of the best lakes in Alberta I have been to, you won’t forget here!
